HI, I'M BRIT
I help hairstylists rebuild their businesses from the nervous system up, so they stop abandoning themselves in the name of "great service." But that's not where I started.
I was living the dream on paper.
A full book of clients. My own salon suite. Money flowing in. Booked out for months.
But no one told me that being 'successful' could still feel like self-betrayal.
I hadn't raised my prices in over 10 years. I worked nonstop. I never said no. And I was the 'nice one' who made it all look easy...while secretly resenting everything I had built.
My body finally said what I wouldn't.
I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease - and I walked away from it all. Shut my business down. Left the chair. And convinced myself I just needed to get more experience in a 'normal job'.
I took a corporate job thinking it would teach me how to be a real business owner.
I thought I'd learn how to be stronger. Less emotional. Better at boundaries. Less likely to crumble in disagreements or feel guilty for charging what I was worth.
Turns out? That wasn't the problem. I realized had already been successful behind the chair, I just needed some intentional tweaks to how I was BEING in my business.
But something else happened while I was in my corporate role.
My clients started reaching out. Slowly, I began doing hair on the side again. And in 2020, I made the decision to come back to the chair full-time.
Most of my clients returned. But this time? I got to rebuild from a regulated place.
I learned how to hold boundaries without hardening. I learned how to raise my prices without overexplaining. I learned how to lead my clients instead of absorbing their emotions.
And here's the part that matters most:
I let the same people who knew the 'yes to everything' version of me meet the woman who had learned to hold boundaries.
That's the real work.
And now I teach stylists how to do the same - through The Self Made Method.
Being Self Made has nothing to do with doing it alone. It means:
- You've faced the parts of yourself you used to hide
- You've chosen alignment over approval
- You've become someone your business can finally support
It's not always graceful. But it's so liberating.
If you've ever said to yourself: "I can't keeping doing this." "I should quit and get a normal job." " I want to burn down my business and start over with all new clients."
You're not crazy. You're not broken. And you're not behind.
You're probably just in a wobble. And I'd love to show you how to rebuild from a place that actually feels like you.
